Goku gets a lot of heat for not saving Gohan, Goten, Piccolo and Trunks.Alternatively, it could be that, seeing as it's a magical ability, Gohan wouldn't be able to stop it, while Babidi, being a magician and a sworn enemy of the Supreme Kai, would not only be able to stop such an attack but would have every reason to expect it in advance and stop it from working on himself or his minions.They may be physically stronger than anything in the known universe, but their logical thinking patterns leave much to be desired. Grabbing the Idiot Ball with all their might is pretty much a running thing the characters do in this show.If the Supreme Kai (Kaioshin) has the ability to immobilize someone as strong as Gohan in his SSJ2 form, why didn't he try to do the same thing to Dabura, or Pipi, or Yakon for that matter?.At that point it's easy to put two and two together.
